HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin 12-30-70 482 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH DECEMBER 30, 1970 The City Council convened in Special Session in the Council Chambers at 4:06 p.m. with Mayor Norgard, Councilmen Buxton, and Simpson present. Councilmen Scotto and Henderson were absent. APPROVAL OF VARIANCE APPL. NO. 71-7 (C. MORRIS GAEDE, 120 DOOLIN DRIVE) Variance Application No. 71-7 by C. Morris Gaede to permit deviations from buildin site requirements on applicant's property located at 120 Doolin Drive, plot plan and Minutes of the Planning Commission dated December 17, 1970, were reviewed by the City Manager. Memorandum dated December 17, 1970, from the City Engineer to the Planning Commission was read setting forth supporting information submitted with the request for said variance and recommending the request be granted. Planning Commission Resolution No. 71-10 recommending approval of the variance subject to the following stipulations was also read: 1. Standard Conditions Nox. 1 - 9 contained in the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Planning Commission on file with the Clerk shall apply in addition to any special conditions set forth below. 2. The special conditions listed below shall apply: 1. Record of Survey be furnished by an engineer or surveyor. 2. Property pipes be set on the new property line. 3. There be no less than 42 feet from existing buildings for side yard setbacks. There was no one present to oppose the granting of the proposed variance. Council discussion followed. There was general Council approval of the request as recommended by the Planning Commission. RESOLUTION NO. 71-20 GRANTING VARIANCE TO C. MORRIS GAEDE On a motion by Councilman Buxton, seconded by Councilman Simpson, it was unanimously carried Resolution No. 71-20 be adopted and the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign same, "Resolution Granting Varianct To C. Morris Gaede". ADJOURNMENT Mayor Norgard declared the meeting adjourned at 4:17 p.m. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
