RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
DISALLOWING ON-STREET PARKING AND ESTABLISHING A
NO PARKING ZONE ALONG LESLIE STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council may by resolution designate portions of streets upon which the
standing, parking, or stopping of vehicles is prohibited or restricted pursuant to Article 11, Chapter 1,
Division 8 of the Ukiah City Code; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 7143 of the City Code provide for no parking at locations
designated by appropriate signs; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineering Committee (Traffic Engineer) considered the request from
Mendocino Transit Authority to establish a "No Parking Zone" within the City of Ukiah; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineer recommends the request regarding this "No Parking Zone",
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ukiah does
establish a "No Parking Zone" on the east side of Leslie Street, beginning at the crosswalk located at the
intersection with Perkins Street and extending 125 feet South.
