8 : 04 p.m. City Attorney reported that the Trap Club has scheduled
a shoot for Sunday morning, February 24th at the prospective new
site to see if the sound in the new location raises any particular
problems with land owners in the area. Some adjoining property
owners have been notified and the County Planning Department has been
advised and will have a representative present at the shoot. If
negotiations on this prospective site are successful, it will re-
quire the obtaining of a use permit from the County.
James Luther, attorney representing the property owners in Rogina
Heights, the area adjacent to the present Trap Club site, ex-
plained that his clients have been most cooperative, but feel now
that the delay is unwarranted and noted that the lease expired
in July and want the shooting to cease. Mr. Luther noted that
while this hearing has been continued from meeting to meeting,
the shooting continues at the present site. Mr. Luther made the
following request of the City Council : "That the City Council
immediately obtain the Trap Club' s agreement to stop shooting
immediately, or if Trap Club is unwilling to so agree that the
City tender the Trap Club thirty days written notice to vacate
the City property" .
Mike Paoli, representing the Trap Club, asked Council ' s indulgence
to one more meeting; since, by that time, they will have the
results of the test shoot and, consequently, know more about the
