RESOLUTION NO. 2000-12
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
AUTHORIZING 1999-2000 GRANT FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY BASED,
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
WHEREAS, within the City of Ukiah there are many non-profit, community-based organizations which
provide significant services to the citizens; and
WHEREAS, those organizations are in need of financial assistance to continue serving their targeted
populations; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah City Council desires to aid these agencies in light of their substantial
contribution to the welfare of the City; and
and
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah General Fund has adequate capacity to fund $25,000 toward this effort;
WHEREAS, the City received 25 applications for funding under the "Non-Profit, Community Based
Organization Grant Assistance Program" for 1999-2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby
authorize grant funding for 1999-2000 in the following amounts to the following organizations:

Literacy volunteers of America

Ukiah Valley Association for Habilitation
City of Ukiah Community Services Depart
