SPECIAL MEETING
March 12, 1985
The Ukiah City Council convened in special session at 3:00 p.m., in the City
Council Chambers. The following Councilmembers were present: Henderson,
Kier, Hickey, Kelley and Mayor Myers. Staff present: Payne, Rapport, Frame,
Goforth and Pedroncelli.
M/S: Hickey/Henderson to accept the canvassing results from Mendocino County
Clerk, Marsha Young electing Yvette Hayes as City Clerk to the City of Ukiah
at a special election held March 5, 1985, carried by the following roll call
vote: AYES: Councilmembers Henderson, Kier, Hickey, Kelley and Mayor Myers.
NOES: None. ABSENT: None.
Swearing In of City Clerk, Yvette Hayes
City Clerk, D. Kent Payne administered the oath of office to Yvette Hayes.
The City Council welcomed Yvette as the newly elected City Clerk.
.Study Session with Millview County Water District
The City Council continued discussions with staff and representatives of the
Millview County Water District regarding the City's proposed acquisition of
the Millview County Water District. The Council requested this be agendized
for the next regular City Council meeting which is March 20, 1985.
Closed Session
The City Council adjourned into closed session at 4:30 p.m. to discuss
property acquisition.
Reconvened Into Open Session
The City Council reconvened into open session at 4:40 p.m.
~tudy Session to Discuss Future Operation, Staffing and Funding of the Sun
House Museum Complex
The City Council continued discussions with staff, the curator of the Sun
House, and the Sun House Guild regarding future operation and staffing at the
Sun House Museum and Cultural Center. The Council requested this matter be
agendized for the next regular City Council meeting which is March 20, 1985.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
