HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-17 General planRESOLUTION NO. 2003-17 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF UKIAH AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the redesignation of the "HDR" Land Use Designation is consistent with the goals and policies of the Ukiah General Plan because it would be merged with lands that are designated with the "HDR" Land Use Designation and the new Land Use Designation is consistent with the roadway capacity standards and street classifications articulated in the Circulation and Transportation Element; and WHEREAS, the amendment of the General Plan Land Use Classification is necessary to establish an access roadway between East Gobbi Street and the 64-unit apartment complex approved for a parcel to the south of the subject property; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Department conducted an Initial Study to ascertain if the proposed General Plan Amendment would have significant adverse impacts on the environment; and WHEREAS, based on the analysis contained in the Initial Study, staff is able to conclude that the proposed General Plan Amendment project would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment; and WHEREAS, based on the conclusions reached in the Initial Study, staff is recommending the adoption of a Negative Declaration for the DANCO/Summer Creek Village General Plan Amendment Project; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Ukiah hereby amends the General Plan Land Use Map by re-designating portions of Assessor .Parcel Number 003-040-74, a 003-040-75, and 003-040-76 from "C" (Commercial) to "HDR" (High Density Residential). PASSED AND ADOPTED on December 4, 2002, by the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: Councilmember Andersen, Smith, Baldwin, and Mayor Larson.
