POLICY RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF UKIAH PROVIDING NECESSARY CITY SERVICES
FOR THE HOMETOWN FESTIVAL PARADE AND BAND REVIEW
WHEREAS, the Hometown Festival Parade and Ukiah Invitational Band Review
are annual events which promote tourism and stimulate increased revenue for
the City and its environs, and
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah strongly supports the efforts necessary to
produce these activities, and
WHEREAS, the parade and review generate participation by all sectors of
the community, and
WHEREAS, special functions utilizing City streets do have costs associ-
ated with them because of resources used for crowd and traffic control,
appropriate emergency responses and general assistance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ukiah
that in light of the significant contribution to the community made by the
Hometown Festival Parade and Invitational Band Review, the City of Ukiah
shall provide at no charge all necessary Police services for these two
events.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of June, 1984 by the following roll call
