HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-13 - establishing sewer service charges1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 83-1.3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ESTABLISHING SEWER SERVICE CHARGES WHEREAS, Section 3725 of the Ukiah City Code sets forth that the City Council may from time to time establish sewer service charges or rental by adopting a resolution setting forth the charges or rental. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ukiah: That the sewer service charges or rental shall be as follows: Premises located within the corporate limits of the City of Ukiah, and not within the District. Resolution No. 77-112 is hereby repealed; The amount of the service charge shall be as follows: 1. For each dwelling or family unit (including mobile homes, apartments, and similar units) other than a "commercial or industrial unit," a charge of $5.35 per month. 2. For each "commercial or industrial unit," a minimum charge of $6.00 per month, plus an amount equal to 1/3 of the monthly water bill used in such commercial or industrial unit during such month whether or not said water used was obtained from the City or from private sources. If water is obtained from private sources, water meters suitable to the City Engineer shall be installed by the water user for the purpose of de- termining monthly usage. 3. For any "processing unit," a flat monthly charge of $13.40 per month, plus the 1/3 additional charge as set forth in Section 2 above. 4. The City Council may from time to time, by further resolution, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 establish variable charges for processing units, dependent upon method of processing, amounts of waste created by var- ious methods of processing or packing, and all other bases for differential charge. 5. Refer to Section 3726 of Ukiah City Code for rates applicable outside of the corporate limits of the City of Ukiah. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the resolution shall be effective September 1, 1982.
