HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-15 1 2 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 28 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 83-15 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ORDERING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO ABATE A PUBLIC NUISANCE M~ERKAS, the City Council of the City of Ukiah has by Resolution No. 83-7 declared the remains of the single family dwelling house which is located at 1195 South Dora Street to be a substandard building and a public nuisance. Said building is situated on that parcel of property which is located adjacent to and on the East side of Dora Street and is identified by the Mendocino County Assessor's Records as Assessor's Parcel No. 3-350-02 and is further described in Book 1300, page 417 of Mendocino County Records as · That portion of George Luce's Subdivision of Lot 77 Yokayo Rancho, as filed in map recorded in Book 2A, page 161 of Maps, ~.~ndocino County Records, described as follows' Beginning at an iron pin on the East line of Dora Street, from which an iron pin at the Northwest corner of Lot 3 of Charles Luce's Subdivision of Lot 85 of Yokayo Rancho, bears North 8° West and is 756.90 feet distant; running thence North 78° East parallel with the North line of said Lot 3, a distance of 346.50 feet to a point on the southerly projection at the East boundary line of said Lo~ 3; thence South 8° East parallel with the East line of Dora Street 400.00 feet to a point on the North line of Washington Ave.; thence South 870 45' West along the North line of Washington Avenue 345.17 feet to its intersectionwith the East line of Dora Street; thence North 8° West along the East line of Dora Street 340.00 feet to the point of beginning, and being portion of Lots 8 and 9 of George Luce's Subdivi- sion of Lot 77 of the Yokayo Rancho, according to the map thereof now on file in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Mendocino. Excepting therefrom the following' lst' That portion conveyed to Charles Wilbur Sams et ux, by deed recorded November 13, 1950 in Book 282 of Official Records, page 133, b~ndocino County Records. 2nd: That portion conveyed to Charles R. Piambo et ux, by deed recorded September 26, 1952 in BOok 327 of Official Records, page 348, Mendocino County Records. 3rd: That portion conveyed to George M. Mann, by deed recorded July 24, 1956 in Book 437 of Official Records, page 58, Mendocino County Records. 1 2 4 5 6 ? 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 24 25 26 27 28 and, WHEREAS, the property owners have been duly notified of the condition of the structure, and WHERF~S, the property owners have been duly notified of all abatement proceedings and actions to date, and ~rIEREAS, the property owners have failed to take any corrective action Whatsoever, and WHER~S, the City Council of the City of Ukiah finds that good and sufficient cause does not exist why this building should not be demolJ, shed and removed from the property. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is hereby ordered to abate the nuisance after a period of 30 days by having the reamins of the above referenced building demolished and removed from the property.
