Subject: July 7, 1999 City Council Meeting & Planning Commission Interviews
Date: June 28, 1999
The deadline for receiving applications for appointment to the single vacancy on the
Planning Commission was June 25, 1999 at noon. A Special Meeting of the City Council
is scheduled for July 7, 1999 beginning at 5:15 p.m. to conduct interviews of the applicants
for this position. Dinner will be provided to Council and will be available at 5:00 p.m. in the
meeting room behind the Council Chambers. Each interview is scheduled for 20 minutes.
The interviews are scheduled in the order in which the applications were received at City
Hall. The regularly scheduled City Council meeting will follow, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

COMMERECE & THE NORTH COAST BUILDERS EXCHANGE.
WHAT THE COMMISSION WOULD GET FROM ME THAT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL IS A
DILIGENT, HARD WORKING MEMBER OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY THAT WOULD LIKE
TO SEE UKIAH, MANAGE ITS GROWTH RESPONSIBLY.
11) LACK OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
12) AS A MEMBER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION I WOULD ATTEMPT TO ADDRESS THIS
ISSUE BY PURSUING ALL POSSIBLE OPTIONS AVAILABLE.
13) ENCOURAGE GROWTH IN AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
14) DISCOURAGE INAPPROIATE LAND USE.

8. Planning Commission helps with decisions on land use in Ukiah. Commission
members are responsible for decisions that will best serve the City and its residents.
9. The relationship should be one of team work and honesty.
10. Experienced as a Manager of a plant facility for large coi-poration for 25 years.
Experienced in budgeting, accounting, capital expenditures, scheduling, employee
relations, customer satisfaction, and interaction with other management groups.
11. Utilization of available commercial property to provide space for clean industry and
provide employment opportunities for the community.
12. Work with public and private individuals to attract clean business with economic
values and long term stability.
13. Clean business with economic value and stability.
14. Business that does not meet environmental responsibility and lacks potential for a
long term positive position in the City.
