RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, downtown revitalization is an identified goal of the
5 Redevelopment Plan for the Ukiah Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the goals of the City Council are consistent with the
7 goals of the Ukiah Redevelopment Agency; and
8 WHEREAS, pursuant to this goal the Agency in May, 1991,
9 initiated a Downtown Master Plan Committee consisting of
10 Martha Barra, Kathy Fowler, Richard Hansen, Arlene Hughey,
1~ Carole Jones, Charlie Kelly, Fontaine McFadden, Frank McMichael,
19 A1 Norris, Judy Pruden, Charles Rough, and Roy Smith to assist
13 Agency Staff in developing a comprehensive revitalization plan; and
WHEREAS, through the work of the Downtown Master Plan
15 Committee a Downtown Revitalization Master Plan including findings,
1(~ recommendations, implementation strategies, and project funding has
17 been completed; and
WHEREAS, the projects and improvements proposed in the Plan
19 have been previously discussed in the Ukiah Redevelopment Plan
90 Environmental Impact Report; and
WHEREAS, the individual projects discussed in the Plan are
92 categorically exempt under CEQA; and
WHEREAS, the completed draft of the Master Plan has been
94 approved by the Master Plan Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the goals and
96 objectives established by the Ukiah City Council, the City Council

does hereby approve and adopt the Downtown Revitalization Master
Plan.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of June, 1992, by the
following roll call vote:
AYES:Councilmembers McMichael, Wattenburger, Shoemaker, Schneiter
NOES: None and Mayor ~enderson
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
