HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-61 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 23 24 25 9.6 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 92-61 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH APPROVING THE PRIOR YEAR TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND INTO THE REFUSE/DEBRIS CONTROL FUND WHEREAS, 1. The Streets and Highways Code Section 2105 determines the requirements for expending revenues received under this section by the cities; and 2. The City of Ukiah wishes to comply with these requirements for the 1990-91 fiscal year and each subsequent year; and 3. The Solid Waste Disposal Site Fund No. 660, currently transfers to the General Fund 6% in an in-lieu tax; and 4. The State Controller has determined that the City's discretionary expenditures for street and highway purposes required to maintain the City's eligibility for Gas Tax Funds under Streets and Highways Code Section 2105 must be made from unrestricted general fund revenues; and 5. In the 1990-91 fiscal year the City allocated $174,000 from the Solid Waste Disposal Site Fund to Refuse/Debris Control which paid for street sweeping services on City streets; and 6. The City wishes to insure that these funds are transferred to the General Fund as unrestricted funds and budget for street and highway purposes as unrestricted funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to prepare and execute a prior year transfer of $174,000 from the Refuse/Debris Control Enterprise to In-lieu Tax within the Sanitary Disposal Site Fund and transferred to the General Fund as additional in-lieu tax, and a complementary transfer of $174,000 from the General 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 23 24 25 26 27 28 Fund to the Refuse/Debris Control Fund; and, that future transfers to fund Refuse/Debris Control expenditures are to be done in a like manner.
