HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-45 1 5 6 ? 8 9 10 11 12 13 li 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 25 26 25 RESOLUTION NO. 92-45 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF UKIAH ADOPTING POLICIES AND FEES FOR THE CITY FACILITIES OF MUNICIPAL POOL, ANTON STADIUM AND CIVIC CENTER COUNCIL CHAMBERS WHEREAS, the City owns, manages, and maintains facilities for public use; and WHEREAS, local community groups and private organizations request the use of these facilities; and WHEREAS, the use of these facilities necessitates a need for rental fees to provide for maintenance, repairs, utilities and other operational expenses; and WHEREAS, the City Council notices public hearings and it has heard public comment on these issues. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council sets the rental rates and policies for City facilities as follows: 1. Anton Stadium Day games $25 for two hours and $50 for four hours; night games $35 for two hours and $70 for four hours. Rental fees provide for all labor, materials and utilities necessary to prepare, drag, chalk and line field as well as restroom facilities (including paper supplies), reasonable clean-up, and use of the baseball scoreboard and operating console. Authorization to use the facility may be revoked pending unforeseen circumstances. A $100 security/cleaning deposit is required for use of the facility and equipment. 1 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Renters must provide the City of Ukiah with a Certificate of Insurance naming the City of Ukiah as additionally insured in the amount of $1,000,000 (one million dollars). Renter's Responsibilities include: a. Ail papers, glass bottles or any other trash must be placed properly in waste receptacles by the participants. b. Ail lights must be turned off upon leaving the facility. Lights left on will incur an extra charge. c. Scoreboard operating console must be returned in the condition it was received and stored properly. d. All gates and doors must be closed and locked upon the groups' departure. e. Ail equipment used must be replaced in the proper location. f. Applicants and users of the facility assume full responsibility for any damage to the 'buildings, field or equipment. g. Any additional "City" responsibilities or requested services related to the use of the facility must be received in writing and approved in advance of the scheduled dates by the City of Ukiah. 2. Civic Center Council Chambers There will be no charge for City-sponsored activities, local non-profit organizations, and local governmental agencies. Non-local, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies will be charged $50 for the first four hours, $20 each additional hour. Local - $75 for the first four hours, $25 each additional hour b. Non-local - $100 first four hours, $30 each additional hour. Ail users: Weekend use - additional $20 charge per day. Renter's Responsibilities include: a. All equipment used for City Council and Planning Commission meetings will remain in the Council Chambers. This equipment is not to be used or moved by anyone using the facility without prior authorization. b. No smoking is allowed in the facility. c. No food or beverages allowed in the Council Chambers. d. No candles or open flames are allowed. e. Please do not attach anything to the walls using pins, tacks or tape. f. Flowers and plants must be in containers with protective bases to prevent damage to the carpet. g. Facilities must be left as it was found. Ail individuals, groups or organizations using this meeting room will be responsible for any damage to the room, building or equipment. h. City Council Chambers is prohibited from being used for religious or partisan political purposes. i. Municipal Swimming Pool The public swim hours are 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The daily rates are set at $1.50 for persons under age 18; $2.00 for persons over 18. Pool passes for a 30-day punch card are $45 for adults and $35 for youth. Swim lessons are $25 per two-week session (10 lessons), and $20 per two-week session for each additional family member. Family night swim will be held Monday through Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a charge of $5 for a family of four and $1 for each additional family member over four. Adult lap swimming hours are Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Monday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The rate charged is $2. Private Party Rentals are available at $50 per hour with a two-hour minimum. This rental includes 2 lifeguards for private parties up to 75 people. Additional guards are available at $7.50 per hour/per guard and are required if the number of persons in the party exceeds 75. Exclusive use of the facility can only be made for Fridays from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Use of the facility by large groups or parties during public swim hours can be arranged through the use of a ticket collection process and then a billing of a per-person rate following the date of use. Swimmer's Rules and Responsibilities include: a. A swim test may be required (as determined by a lifeguard) in order for some swimmers to venture beyond the 3½ foot depth of the large pool and/or into the smaller lap pool. 1 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 23 25 26 27 28 b. Children under the age of five (5) are admitted free, but must be accompanied by a paying adult. c. Children under the age of six (6) will not be allowed admission if not accompanied by an adult. d. Pool passes are non-refundable. Family members and groups may purchase one pass and utilize that card for up to 30 visits or 30 persons. e. Smoking is not allowed in or around the pool area. f. During inclement weather the pool may be closed. Please check with pool staff for possible implementation of the closing policy on the day of your visit. In addition, the City of Ukiah will comply with all ADA requirements in the rental and use of these facilities.
