HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Reso 2019-25 - Adopting 2019 Records Retention Schedule1 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2019-25 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ADOPTING THE 2019 RECORDS RETENTION SCHEDULE WHEREAS, Sections 34090 and 34090.5 of the Government Code of the State of California provide for the disposition of public records; and WHEREAS, Section 34090.7 of the Government Code of the State of California provides for the destruction of records that are no longer needed for reference, and in a manner prescribed by the legislative body of the City; and WHEREAS, each records series title contained in the Records Retention Schedule has been reviewed by the Department Director, City Attorney, and City Clerk who is responsible for Records Management; and WHEREAS, a Records Retention Schedule was last adopted by the City Council on June 7, 2017, as Resolution No 2017-22; and WHEREAS, this revised Records Retention Schedule reflects more accurately the department records, but will be subject to additions and updates as necessary which will be coordinated through the City Clerk's office and brought back periodically to Council for approval as needed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby resolve that the attached Records Retention Schedule (Exhibit A) is hereby adopted, and supersedes the Records Retention Schedule adopted through Resolution 2017- 22. The City Clerk is directed to supervise and implement the amended schedule.
