ROLL CALL Ukiah City Council and the Ukiah City Planning Commission met at a Regular Meeting on May 14, 2019, having been legally noticed on May 10, 2019. Mayor Mulheren called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. Roll was taken with the following present: Councilmembers—Juan V. Orozco (arriving at 5:39 p.m.), Jim O. Brown, Stephen G. Scalmanini, Douglas F. Crane, and Maureen Mulheren. Planning Commissioners — Linda Sanders, Mark Hilliker, Christopher Watt, Laura Christensen, and Michael Whetzel; Staff— Sage Sangiacomo, City Manager; David Rapport, City Attorney; Craig Schlatter, Community Development Director; Michelle Irace, Planning Manager; Mireya Turner, Associate Planner; and Kristine Lawler, City Clerk; Consultants —Jim Harnish, Brent Gibbons, and Rick Rust. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE MAYOR MULHEREN PRESIDING. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Mulheren. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT 4. NEW BUSINESS a. A Special Joint Workshop of the City Council and Planning Commission Regarding the Ukiah 2040 General Plan Update. Presenter: Craig Schlatter, Community Development Director. Public Comment: Julie Price. Follow up direction: • Inform Craig of any interest groups that Councilmembers and/or Commissioners would like to be included in the discussion. • Staff will deliver final list of interest groups, including advisory committees, that will be approached for General Plan feedback. • Mintier Harnish will supply Spanish contact information to be placed on the online project page. • Councilmembers and Commissioners will bring feedback given to them from the public back to Craig Schlatter, Community Development Director. • Public can participate with online survey on the project page.
