HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-05RESOLUTION NO. 80-5 ! 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH CO~4EN1).ING MEMBERS OF THE URBAN SERVICES GOVERNmeNTAL FUNCTION STUDY POLICY STEERING COMMITTEE AND DISSOLVING T~ COMMITTEE UPON COMPLETION OF ITS EFFORTS WHERF~S, in November of 1978 the City of Ukiah commenced the Urban Services/Governmental Function study to analyze and determine the optimum urban service delivery and governmental responsibility system within the 6 ? 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15' 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 UkiahValley, and WHERF~S, the Policy Steering Committee was authorized in December, 1978 as a very 'integral and necessary component of this study to provide continued policy review and input by decision makers throughout the Study's progress, and M-~REAS, the Committee members diligently participated in discussion and evaluation of the data, policies, objectives and alternatives proposed,and WHEREAS, on June 28, 1979, the Committee made a final recommendation to the City Council regarding this study, NOW ~-~REFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby commend and extend it's appreciation to: Ernie Banker, Mendocino County Board of Supervisors; Ira Brannon, City of ~ciah City Cotmcil; Tom Bullard, Mendocino County Russian River Flood Control District; Bill Daniel, Mendocino College Board; Duke Fenter, City of Ukiah Planning Commission; Gary Mirata, Millview County Water District; Ray Rockefeller, Mendocino County Local Agency Formation CommissJon; Duane Wells, Hendocino Council of Governments; Ray Worster, Ukiah Unified School District, Pete Passof, alternate; members of the Policy Steering Committee for their active involvement in the study and further dissolves the Committee in light of its completed task and further directs that letters of appreciation be sent to the agencJes represented by these members for their committment to the study. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July, 1979 by the following roll call vote: : AYES: Councilman Hickey, Simpson~ Brannon and Mayor Snyder NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Myers City Clerq~ - Deputy ATTEST:
