HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-104 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 RESOLUTION NO. 80-10 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH A~ENDING PAY AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN RESOLVED that the Classification Plan is hereby amended by ~ changing the current title "Accountant" to "Accountant II" and by adding the classification "Accountant I" and the specification attached hereto and made a part hereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the pay plan dated June 24, 1979 is amended as follows to be effective September 16, 1979. Accountant I is assigned to Range 36 - $1,092 - $1,327/mo. ! Accountant retitled Accountant II · !Street Supervisor is reassigned to Range 44 from Range 43 Street Leadworker is reassigned to Range 36 from Range 35 Water & Sewer Supervisor is reassigned to Range 45 from Range 43 Treatment Plant Supervisor is reassigned to Range 48 from Range 44 Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is reassigned to Range 46 from Range 42 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of September, 1979 by the following roll call vote: AYES:Councilmembers Hickey, Myers, Simpson, Brannon, Mayor Snyder 20 ~NOES: None 21 !IABSENT: None 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ATTEST: CITY CLERK 29 32 ACCOUNTANT I Definition: Under direction, to perform or supervise the performance of basic accounting activities of Finance Department. Examples of Duties: Prepares, or supervises preparation of such subsidiary accounting activities as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, etc.; participates in accounting related activities (both manual and on computer) to point of General Ledger accounting; operates computer, using computer imput from others to prepare various reports, checks, and other materials necessary to efficient operation of Department. Employment Standards: Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by additional college level accounting and data processing, and two years experience in maintaining subsidiary accounting records. Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting; knowledge of data processing applications for accounting; knowledge of modern office equipment, including data processing equipment; ability to maintain records and prepare reports from various statistical and financial material; ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
