RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF UKIAH AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF PROPERTIES BEING HELD BY STATE
FOR NONPAYMENT OF TAXES
The City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby RESOLVE:
That the City Council of the City of Ukiah has by prior
actions shown the desire and intent to promote and develop
Historical Landmark No. 926, the "Sun House" property, for the
good and benefit of the public in general;
That certain properties shown on Exhibit "A"
, attached hereto
10 and incorporated herein are held in the name of the State of
California by reason of unpaid taxes levied upon said properties;

That the aforementioned properties are contiguous to the
"Sun House" property;

That the acquisition of these properties from the State are

in the best interest of the City of Ukiah as a whole; and
That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an
agreement with the County of Mendocino, on behalf of the City of
18 Ukiah, to purchase the properties, as shown on the attached
19 Exhibit "A," for such amounts outstanding in the form of back
20 taxes, including all costs incurred by the County of Mendocino,
21 on behalf of the City, in order to effect transfer of title to
22 the City.
