HomeMy WebLinkAbout81-30 1 2 4 $ 6 ? 8 9 10 11 12 15 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 2~ 24 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 81- 3 0 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ACCEPTING THE NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REI~NUES FOR THE LAS CASAS REORGANIZATION (NO. 80-3) WHE~S, the City Council of the City of Ukiah, by Resolution No. 80-45, dated January 16, 1980, applied to the Local Agency Fomation Commission for annexation of the territory known as Las Casas Reorganization No. 80-3, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99, Part 0.5, Division 1 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, (as added by Assembly Bill 8), a transfer of property tax revenue is required for each reorganization, and ¥~{ERFAS, such jurisdictional change cannot become effective until each county and city negotiate and accept by resolution the negotiated exchange of property tax revenues, and I~HERF&S, calculation of effective tax rates (EIR) for affected agencies within the territory to be annexed indicates that the City should receive 12.53% of the taxes generated within the subject area, and I~.REAS, the amount of $657 in property tax revenues has been determined as the appropriate tax transfer through negotiations between City and County staffs, NOW TttEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: a) The City Council accepts $657 as the negotiated exchange of property tax revenues for the Las Casas Reorganization for fiscal year 1981-82, and b) The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Executive Office of the Mendocino County Local Agency Formation Commission and the Administrative Officer of the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors for action by the respective agencies. -].- 1 2 4 5 6 7 8 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of November by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers Riley, Myers, .Hickey NOES: Councilmember Feibusch ABSENT: Councilmember Snyder 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 , 1980 -2- Th e tota ?roperty Tax Revenue affected area is ;~,ow part of 1 effective tax rate for ~his ~ounty General 1 ~,i~' L i bra ry .
