ROLL CALL 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Ukiah City Council met at a Regular Meeting on January 17, 2018, having been legally noticed on January 12, 2018. Mayor Brown called the meeting to order at 6:13 p.m, Roll was taken with the following Councilmembers Present: Jim 0. Brown, Stephen G. Scalmanini, Douglas F. Crane, Maureen Mulheren, and Kevin Doble. Staff Present: Sage Sangiacomo, City Manager; David Rapport, City Attorney; and Kristine Lawler, City Clerk. MAYOR DOBLE PRESIDING. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Cadence Doble. 3. PROCLAMATIONS/INTRODUCTIONS/PRESENTATIONS a. Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation and Recognition to the 2017 Ukiah Lions Pee Wee Football Team. Presenters: Mayor Doble and Vice Mayor Mulheren. Certificates were presented. Continued Discussion and Appointments Regarding 2018 Council Assignments, and Consideration of Disbandment and Modification to City Council Committees and Ad Hocs. Presenter: Kristine Lawler, City Clerk. Motion/Second: Brown/Scalmanini to accept the 2018 Council Assignments and Ad Hoc Committee List, and direct the City Clerk to attach the List to the January 17, 2018, minutes. Motion carried by the following roll call votes: AYES: Brown, Scalmanini, Crane, Mulheren, and Doble. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. ABSTAIN: None. Approval of Notice of Completion for Site Development for Welts 4 and 9, Specification No. 16-02 and Approval of a Change Order in the Amount of$27,621.04. Receive Presentation and Provide Direction Regarding the City of Ukiah's Sewer Lateral Policy. Presenters: Sean White, Water Resources Director and Jarod Thiele, Public Works Management Analyst. Public Comment: Ernie Wipf. Council Consensus directs Staff to work with the City Attorney to update the Sewer Lateral Policy/Ordinance and bring back to Council for consideration. b. Discussion and Referral to the Planning Commission of a Draft Ordinance Amending Various Sections of Chapter 2, Division 9 of the Ukiah City Code to Set Forth in Greater Detail the Procedure for Calculating Residential Density. Presenters: Shannon Riley, Deputy City Manager and Craig Schlatter, Community Development Director. Motion/Second: Brown/Crane to refer to the Planning Commission a draft ordinance amending various sections of Chapter 2, Division 9 of the Ukiah City Code to set forth in greater detail the procedure for calculating residential density,to come back to the Council for consideration at a future date.
