RESOLUTION NO. 86-8
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF UKIAH FOR IMPROVEMENT OF HIGHWAY 101
WHEREAS, the Ukiah City Council of the City of Ukiah has given due consid-
eration to the following findings in support of setting priorities for State
highway improvements on Highway 101 in Mendocino County. These findings are:
1. Improved Safety,
2. Better transportation of goods and services,
3. Decrease in State maintenance or storm repair budget,
4. Elimination of continuous delays because of necessary road repairs,
5. Increased tourism,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Ukiah
hereby requests the California Transportation Commission and Caltrans, District
1, to place the improvement of Highway 101 between Cloverdale and Ukiah in
first priority on the State Transportation Improvement Plan, with improvement
to occur progressively south to north in said area.

roll call vote:

Councilmembers Henderson, Kier, Hickey and Mayor Myers
