RESOLUTION NO. 87-31
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
DECLARING PARCELS OF LAND AND IMPROVEMENTS ON CITY
HALL, 203 SOUTH SCHOOL STREET; FIRE STATION NO. 1,
369 SOUTH SCHOOL STREET; AND POLICE STATION,
280 EAST STANDLEY STREET EXCESS PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING SALE AND DISPOSAL OF EXCESS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah owns property referred to as City Hall,
located on Church and School Streets; Fire Station No. 1, located on the
corner of School and Clay Streets; and Police Station, located on the corners
of Standley, Mason and Smith Streets, will be vacated upon completion of the
Ukiah Civic Center, and
WHEREAS, said properties will not be required for City purposes, now or
in the future once the Civic Center is occupied, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Exhibits "A", "B" and "C"
(attached) depicting said excess properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the parcels, including improvements, as
shown upon said Exhibits "A", "B" and "C" are declared excess property and
the City Manager is directed to proceed with the disposal of said excess
property as allowed by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of December , 1986, by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Schneiter, Shoemaker, Hickey, Kier, and Mayor Henderson
NOES: None

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Being Parcel 3 of land described in DECREE QUIETING TITLE, IN THE
SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IN AND FOR THE COUNTY, as
recorded August 1, 1923 in Official Records of Mendocino County in Book
173 of Deeds, Page 406, said parcel being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of Church Street in the Town of
Ukiah City, distant Westerly, 152.30 feet from a point where the West
line of State Street intersects with the South line of Church Street,
such point of beginning also being the Northwest corner of land of
Katherine Gobbi; thence Southerly (angle to the left being 87° 22')
along the Westerly line of Katherine Gobbi 69.55 feet to the lot of
L. M. Hildreth; thence Westerly along the North line of L. M. Hildreth's
lot to the East line of School Street; thence Northerly along the East
line of School Street to the Northwest corner of Block 17 of said Town
of Ukiah City; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of Church Street
to the point of beginning.

Being that tract of lan~, David to the City of Ukiah, as recorded June
24, 1939 in Official Records of Mendocino County, State of California,
in Book 130, Page 465, said tract being more particularly described as
follows:
Starting at the intersection of the North line of Clay Street with the
East line of School Street in the City of Ukiah, said point being the
Southwest corner of Block 18 of said City of Ukiah, according to the
Official Map thereof on file in the Office of County Recorder of the
County of Mendocino, State of California; running thence Easterly along
the North line of Clay Street a distance of 70 feet; thence Northerly
and parallel with the East line of School Street a distance of 101.62
feet to the South line of the lands now or formerly owned by Chris
Norgard; thence Westerly along the South line of said Norgard lands a
distance of 70 feet to the East line of School Street; and thence
Southerly along the East line of School Street a distance of 101.20 feet
to the point of beginning.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Being a portion of that tract of land, Smith to the City of Ukiah, as
recorded October 18, 1965, in Official Records of Mendocino County,
State of California, in Book 700, Page 703, and that parcel of land,
Ruddick to the City of Ukiah, as recorded January 6, 1956, in Official
Records of Mendocino County, State of California, in Book 418, Page 8,
said portion and said parcel being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Southerly line of Smith
Street with the Westerly line of Mason Street; thence along
said Westerly line of Mason Street S02°21'30"E, 180.35 feet
(181.12 feet by deed) to the intersection of the Westerly line
of Mason Street with the Northerly line of Standley Street;
thence along said Northerly line of Standley Street
S78°41'03"W, 145.24 feet; thence leaving said Northerly line
N01°55'51"W, 180.66 feet to a point on the Southerly line of
Smith Street; thence along said Southerly line of Smith Street
N78°43'10"E, 143.86 feet to the point of beginning and
containing 25,760 square feet of land more or less.
Reserving unto the Grantor a DRAINAGE EASEMENT for the purpose of
construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of storm drains and
