HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-24 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 87-24 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ACCEPTING THE NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES FOR THE CALDWELL FRONTAGE ROAD REORGANIZATION (NO. 86-1) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ukiah, by Resolution No. 86-33 made application for annexation of the territory known as Caldwell Frontage Road Reorganization No. 86-1, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99, Part 0.5, Division 1 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, (as added by Assembly Bill 8), a transfer of property tax revenue is required for each reorganization, and WHEREAS, such jurisdictional change cannot become effective until each county and city negotiate and accept by resolution the negotiated exchange of property tax revenues, and WHEREAS, the Mendocino County Auditor-Controller's calculations of equivalent tax rates for affected agencies within the territory to be annexed indicate that the City should receive 12.29% of the taxes generated within this reorganization area, and WHEREAS, the amount of $179 in property tax revenues has been de- termined as the appropriate tax transfer through negotiations between staffs of the City of Ukiah and the County of Mendocino. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: a) The City Council of the City of Ukiah accepts $179 as the negoti- ated exchange of property tax revenues for the Caldwell Frontage Road Reorganization for fiscal year 1986-87, and b) the City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Executive Officer of the Mendocino County Local Agency Formation Commission and Administrative Officer of the - 1 - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Mendocino County Board of Supervisors for action by the respective agencies. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 1986 by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmember Schneiter, Kier, and Mayor Henderson NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Shoemaker and Hickey ATTEST: - 2 -
