HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-53 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 87-53 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ADOPTING WAGE AND SALARY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF UKIAH AND THE NON-REPRESENTED MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the Non-Represented Management employees, and WHEREAS, an Agreement of Understanding has been arrived at for and with represented Management employees, and WHEREAS, said Memorandum of Understanding has been presented to the City Council for its consideration and approval, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the represented Management Employees Memorandum of Understanding including Attachment A to this Resolution and the Classification List is also to be effective for the Non-Represented Management Employees, for the fiscal years, 1987-88 and 1988-89. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of June , 1987, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Counci]members Schneiter, Shoemaker, Hickey, Kier, and Mayor Henderson NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: CLERK .. 4. Health and Welfare Effective July 1, 1987, the City shall pay for the actual amount of employee group insurance up to a maximum of $212.00 per month per employee. Any premium amount in excess of $212.00 shall be paid by the employee. 5. Employee has option to convert the last year's deferred compensation or similar savings program into salary in the last year before retirement. e The Longevity Program for new members is eliminated. Current and future members will receive a credit of up to 50% for prior comparable government entity service, the applicable service experience will be determined by the City Manager. Second Year 1. Salary Effective the payroll nearest to July 1, 1988, there shall be an increase to the Management base rate salary schedule (Attachment A) of 75% of the average of the categories, Ail Urban Consumers and Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, San Francisco/Oakland, California, Consumer Price Index, April 1987 to April 1988, with a 3½% minimum and a 7½% maximum. 2. Administrative Leave Departmental Heads shall receive an additional three (3) days of Administrative Leave annually credited in full on July 1st of each year. 3. Health and Welfare Plan Effective July 1, 1988 or August 1, 1988, with the effective date of the health plan chosen by the employee, the City shall pay 50% of the lowest increase between the health and welfare plan premiums, if such an increase occurs. 4. Health and Fitness Incentive Pro~ram An additional $I0.00 per month shall be added to each of the three sections of the Health and Fitness Incentive Program compensation plan, for a total of $20.00 per month for each section. The City and Unit agree to continue discussion of employee's P.E.R.S. contribution as deferred compensation during the two years of the agreement. -2- This Memorandum of Understanding is ratified and adopted pursuant to the recommendations of the following representatives this 23rd day of June , 1987.
