HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-101 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 89-10 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ADJUSTING FEES AND CHARGES AT THE UKIAHMUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE SITE WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted the budgets for fiscal year 1988-89 and 1989-90, and WHEREAS, the budgets anticipate sufficient revenue from the disposal site to make the operation self-supporting, and WHEREAS, in order to meet budgeted goals a rate adjustment is necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following fees and charges are hereby established for materials delivered to the Solid Waste Site. A. Material delivered in compacted form and in vehicle having an operating compaction device ................... $4.75 per cubic yard B. Material delivered in loose uncompacted state. $3.25 per cubic yard C. Material delivered in cars or station wagons.. $2.75 per load except as provided in Section E. Material delivered in vans; pickups (compact, 1/2-Ton, 3/4 Ton) and small, single axle trailers, without sideboards; except as provided in Section E ................................. $4.50 per load up to top of cab. Quantities over top of cab will be charged at the rate of ........................................... $3.25 per cubic yard Pickups and small trailers using sideboards will be charged at the rate of ....................................... $3.25 per cubic yard D. Material delivered in garbage cans: 30 gallon can ................................ $2.00 per can 55 gallon can or drum ....................... $3.00 per can Combined loads of garbage cans and loose material will be charged at the loose rate set forth in Section B, or, the per load rate as set forth in Section C, whichever is less. F. Tires 1. Automobile and pickup tires (16" wheel size of less) in lots of 5 or less ................................. $1.00 per tire 2. Truck tires (greater than 16" wheel size) in lots of 5 or less ......................................... $2.00 per tire 3. Heavy equipment tires (farm, construction, or industrial equipment) Volume determined by overall tire dimension... $6.00 per yard 4. Bulk delivery of tires (6 or more) or similar rubber tires ......................................... $6.00 per yard 5. Bulk delivery of sliced, shredded, or split tires ......................................... $4.25 per yard G. City of Ukiah Inter-Departmental Rates Loose loads ................................... $1.75 per cubic yard First 5 yards per delivery ............... $1.75 per cubic yard Additional yardage on same load .......... $1.50 per cubic yard H. City of Ukiah Franchised Refuse Collector-inside City accounts only Loose loads ................................... $1.75 per cubic yard First 5 yards per delivery ............... $1.75 per cubic yard Additional yardage on same load .......... $I.50 per cubic yard Compacted loads ............................... $2.50 per cubic yard Tires .................................... as set forth in Section F 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Fees charged under this Resolution are subject to appeal by the payor to the City Manager and City Council on the condition that the payor immediately register his protest with the Disposal Site Gateperson. Fees thus paid shall be received under protest and shall be held pending a decision on the merit of the appeal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these rates shall be effective October 1, 1988.
