RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
UKIAH APPOINTING CITY MANAGER AS PERSONNEL
CLERK FOR THE CITY OF UKIAH.
WHEREAS,
1. Section 1304 of the Ukiah City Code requires the City
Council to appoint a personnel clerk whose duty it shall be to
act in the capacity of a secretary and clerk to the Civil Service
Board of the City of Ukiah; and
2. The duties of the office of personnel clerk may be com-
bined with those of any other office in the City of Ukiah if the
work involved does not warrant the creation of a separate posi-
tion; and
3. The Civil Service Board for the City of Ukiah meets in-
frequently and the work does not warrant the creation of a spe-
cial position; and
4. The City Manager can perform the functions of the per-
sonnel clerk or assign those duties to other city staff as he
deems appropriate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. The City Council hereby appoints the City Manager as
the personnel clerk for the City of Ukiah.
2. The City Manager may delegate all or part of the duties
of the personnel clerk as set forth in Ukiah City Code Section
1304 to one or more officers or employees of the City as he, in
his discretion, shall determine is appropriate.
