RESOLUTION NO. 90-50
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
UKIAH ADJUSTING RATES FOR GARBAGE COT.T.FL~fION SERVICE
WHEREAS, State Law now mandates the City to divert 25% of its waste
stream from disposal in the landfill by January, 1995, and 50% of its
waste stream by January, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah has adopted and implemented Recycling
Programs in order to reduce the amount of waste entering the Solid Waste
Disposal Site, and
WHEREAS, the Recycling Task Force has recomuended the use of
incentives to increase participation in the recycling effort, and
WHEREAS, the recomuended incentive involves an increase of garbage
collection service rates.
NC~, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the following rates are
hereby established for garbage collection service:

1-10 gallon can
1-20 gallon can
1-30 gallon can
2-30 gallon cans

3-30 gallon cans
4-30 gallon cans

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these rates shall be effective
July 1, 1990.
