HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-18 1 3 5 6 ? 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 19 20 21 23 25 26 27 RESOLUTION NO. 91-18 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF UKIAH CITY COUNCIL APPROVING NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FOR TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAP NO. 90-30, BROOKSIDE ESTATES WHEREAS, the Brookside Estates Tentative Subdivision Map encompasses five and one-half acres, and the 33-1ot project includes 26 single-family residential parcels, four duplex parcels, and one triplex parcel for a total of 37 living units; and WHEREAS, on September 12, 1990 the Planning Commission recommended approval of the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact; and WHEREAS, the development provides appropriate housing opportunities consistent with the City of Ukiah General Plan; and WHEREAS, park fees shall be paid pursuant to City Code; and WHEREAS, appropriate traffic circulation is provided for in the development by the extension of Orchard Avenue southerly from Gobbi Street; and WHEREAS, specific findings have been adopted for approval of this project; and WHEREAS, the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact addresses potentially significant adverse environmental effects, and identifies project conditions to mitigate any adverse effects. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact for Tentative Subdivision Map No. 90-30, Brookside Estates, attached as Exhibit "A" is approved, based on the following factors which support a Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact: 1. Project is compatible with surrounding land uses. 2. Project will not have a significant adverse effect on air and water quality. 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 9.1 22 23 25 26 27 28 Be e e e e e Project is consistent with the City of Ukiah Zoning Ordinance and the General Plan. Project will not have significant adverse impacts on wildlife, fishlife, or plantlife. Project will not cause marked increase in ambient noise levels in the area except during periods of construction. Project will not degrade aesthetic quality of the area. Project will not pose significant threat to human health and safety. Project will not destroy or detract from important recreational areas. Project will not have significant adverse impacts on local government services, utilities, transportation, or solid waste management. 10. The project will not displace persons.
