RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
WAIVING 60 DAY NOTICING REQUIREMENT FOR COUNTY OF
MENDOCINO TO LEASE BUILDING AT 189-199 SOUTH SCHOOL STREET
WHEREAS, the Mendocino County District Attorney's Office proposes
to lease an office building at 189-199 S. School Street, Ukiah; and
WHEREAS, the District Attorney, Family Support Division, proposes
to use this building as offices for the functions of the County; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25351(c) requires that the County
Board of Supervisors give at least 60 days notice to the City Clerk
before leasing office space within the City of Ukiah; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25351(d) provides that the City
Council may waive this notice by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the proposed use of that building by the County of
Mendocino is consistent with surrounding land uses and poses no
conflicts with them; and
WHEREAS, without this waiver a delay in operational efficiency
would occur for the District Attorney since they propose to occupy the
facility by mid April.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ukiah City Council, in
accordance with Government Code Section 25351(d), waives the notice to
the City Clerk required by Government Code Section 25351(c) for the
District Attorney's lease of office space within the City of Ukiah.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17 day of ^pri] , 1991, by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers McMichael, Wattenburger, Shoemaker, Schneiter and
Mayor Henderson
