RESOLUTION NO. 91-48
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY
CERTIFICATION FOR SOUTH STATE STREET IMPROVEMENTS
AND SIGNALIZATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah is involved in the South State Street
improvements and signalization project located between the entrance to the
Municipal Airport and Talmage Road, which project is partially funded by
Federal Aid Urban funds; and
WHEREAS, such federally funded projects are administered by the State
of California and require compliance with Right-of-Way Certification
procedures as outlined in Chapter 906.00.00 of the California Department
of Transportation Local Programs Manual; and
WHEREAS, such procedures specify that local public agency
Right-of-Way Certification should be submitted to the District Local
Engineer prior to the project advertising date with a resolution of the
City Council that authorizes the execution of the Right-of-Way
Certification document; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Right-of-Way Certification is to document
that real property interests have been or are being secured, and have been
or will be removed, relocated or protected as required for the
construction, operation, and maintenance of the proposed project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ukiah, State of California, that the City Engineer is hereby authorized to
execute and submit to the proper state agency, on behalf of the City of
Ukiah, the Right-of-Way Certification for the South State Street
Improvements and Signalization project.
