RESOLUTION NO. 91-37
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF UKIAH AMENDING RESOLUTION 90-21
ESTABLISHING GOLF COURSE COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah operates and maintains an 18 hole municipal
golf course, including a club house, pro shop and related facilities; and
WHEREAS, these facilities constitute an important and treasured
municipal resource; and
WHEREAS, an advisory committee composed of representatives of the
men's/women's golf clubs and the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts
Commission will assist the City in its mission to preserve and enhance this
vital community resource;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. There is hereby created a golf course committee. This advisory
body shall report to the City Council.
2. The Committee shall consist of seven (7) members who shall be
appointed by the City Council from the residents of the City of Ukiah as
follows:
a. Two members shall be appointed from candidates recommended
by the Men's Golf Club;
b. Two members shall be appointed from candidates recommended
by the Women's Golf Club; and
c. Three members shall be appointed from the Parks and
Recreation Commission.
3. Ail appointments to this Committee shall be for a term of one
year. Reappointments to the Committee shall be made in accordance with
Ukiah City Code section 1200.
4. The Golf Course Committee shall have the authority and duty to
recommend and advise on:
a. Rates, fees and other policies to be adopted and enforced
for the operation, use and management of the golf course and related
facilities.
b. Means and methods to preserve, enhance or improve the golf
course and related facilities.

c. Other matters relating to the proper operation, maintenance
and improvement of the golf course and related facilities.
5. The members of the Committee shall receive no compensation,
except such actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties as
shall be approved in advance by the City Council.
6. The Committee shall elect a chairperson from among its members,
may elect such other officers as it may deem appropriate, and shall
establish a regular meeting time and place, and such rules of procedure as
may be necessary for the conduct of its meetings and business.
7. The Committee shall dissolve and its authority under this
resolution shall expire on October 18, 1991, unless the City Council by
resolution extends the existence of the Committee prior to that date.
Passed and adopted this 19th day of December , 1990, by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Wattenburger, Shoemaker, Schneiter and Mayor Henderso
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember McMichael
ABSTAIN: None
