Home My WebLink About92-06 1 5 6 ? 9 10 11 12 13 li 15 16 1'7 18 19 20 21 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 92-6 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH RECOMMENDING BAIL SCHEDULE AND PENALTIES FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS WHEREAS, 1. Vehicle Code Section 40203.5 requires that the bail, penalties and surcharges for violations of municipal parking ordinances be established by the municipal court in accordance with Penal Code Section 1269b; and 2. The City Council has recommended penalties and bail schedules for parking violations which have been reviewed and approved by the municipal court; and 3. The existing bail schedule and penalties for such violations have not been revised for many years and are substantially below the bail schedule and penalties for similar violations in most other jurisdictions; and 4. The amounts imposed as bail and penalties for parking violations must be sufficient to deter violations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council recommends that the municipal court adopt the revised schedule of bail and penalties for parking violations in the City of Ukiah which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as though set forth in full.
