APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes from the January 13, 2016 meeting will be included for review and approval at the February 10, 2016 meeting. 5. COMMENTS FROM AUDIENCE ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS The Planning Commission welcomes input from the audience. In order for everyone to be heard, please limit your comments to three (3) minutes per person and not more than ten (10) minutes per subject. The Brown Act regulations do not allow action to be taken on audience comments. 6. APPEAL PROCESS (Not Applicable) All determinations of the Planning Commission regarding major discretionary planning permits are final unless a written appeal, stating the reasons for the appeal, is filed with the City Clerk within ten (10) days of the date the decision was made. An interested party may appeal only if he or she appeared and stated his or her position during the hearing on the decision from which the appeal is taken. 7. SITE VISIT VERIFICATION 8. CITY OF UKIAH MEMORANDUM DATE: January 20, 2016 TO: Planning Commission FROM: Rick Seanor, Deputy Director of Public Works � SUBJECT: Ukiah Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan The City of Ukiah, Department of Public Works obtained funding from the Mendocino Council of Governments for preparation of the Ukiah Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (Plan). The City contracted with Alta Planning + Design for the preparation of the Plan.Alta hired sub-consultants: Whitlock&Weinberger Transportation, Inc. (w-trans)and Walk and Bike Mendocino for assistance with specific parts of the Plan. The goal of the Plan is to improve bicycling and walking in the City of Ukiah as a comfortable and convenient transportation and recreation option.This plan,when adopted,will replace the City of Ukiah Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan which was adopted by the Ukiah City Council on February 17, 1999. Public Review and Input: The Ukiah Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan is available for public review from January 12 through February 29, 2016 and is available online on the City's website at http://www.citvofukiah.com/streets/ or at the Public Works information counter at the Ukiah Civic Center, 300 Seminary Avenue, Ukiah.
