HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-20 CC Reso - Implementing State Approved Labor Compliance Program RESOLUTION NO. 2014-20 RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING A STATE APPROVED LABOR COMPLIANCE PROGRAM UPON APPROVAL FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS WHEREAS, the provisions of the California Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006 (Proposition 84) require the establishment of a Labor Compliance Program (LCP) to monitor the prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements on any project using Proposition 84 funding; and WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Labor Code Section 1771.5 is the adoption by the governing body of the City of Ukiah of a resolution to implement a state-approved Labor Compliance Program upon approval from the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations on Projects funded by 'proposition 84'; and WHEREAS, the City of Ukiah is required to submit a Labor Compliance Program application and procedures manual to the Department of Industrial Relations in order to implement a Labor Compliance Program for oversight of Prevailing Wage requirements on 'Proposition 84' funded projects. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the governing body of the City of Ukiah elects to adopt and implement a Labor Compliance Program, as set forth above PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4"' day of June, 2014, by the following roll call vote: AYE$: Councilmembers Scalmanini, Crane, Thomas, Landis, and Mayor Baldwin NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None � ?%��v v—�— Philip E. dwin, Mayor ATTEST: � G1�i'��'l,e/vv `� Kristme Lawler, City Clerk
