Due to the payroll software vacation calculation process, those Management employees that are nearing their maximum vacation accrual will be allowed to request a Vacation Buyout by submitting a PAF for the first full pay period following the MOU effective date, even if they have already used their 2 Vacation Buyouts under the old MOU. Then their 40 hours vacation per the Management MOU will be added on the second full pay period following the MOU effective date. This will insure that no vacation time will be lost due to having reached the maximum vacation accrual. Management employees are advised in future years to monitor their vacation balances and request Vacation Buyouts if appropriate, to allow the annual Management MOU vacation accrual, the first full pay period in October, to be credited in full with no loss due to over accrual.
