' RESOLUTION NO. 2014-10
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH APPOINTING JIM
ANDERSEN AS CITY COUNCIL APPOINTEE TO THE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD
WHEREAS,
1. Section 1301 of the Ukiah Civil Service Ordinance establishes a Civil Service Board; and
2. Section 1302 of the Ordinance defines the membership of the Civil Service Board as
consisting of three (3) members: One appointed by the City Council, one appointed by the
employees, and one appointed by the other two members; and
3. Terms of office are of an indefinite term, but not less than four (4) years, and the Board
convenes on an as-needed basis; and
4. A permanent vacancy has occurred in the Council appointed Civil Service Board position.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that
1. The City Manager recommends the appointment of Mr. Jim Andersen based upon his
extensive public administration, management, and labor relations experience in
Mendocino and Sonoma Counties; and
2. The City Council hereby appoints Mr. Jim Andersen as the Council-appointed member of I
the Civil Seroice Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19`" day of March 2014, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Scalmanini, Crane, Thomas, Landis, and Mayor Baldwin
