ROLL CALL COMMISSIONERS HELLAND, BRENNER, WHETZEL, SANDERS AND CHAIRPERSON PRUDEN 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes from the May 25, 2011 meeting will be available for review and approval at the June 22�d meeting. 5. COMMENTS FROM AUDIENCE ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS The Planning Commission welcomes input from the audience. In order for everyone to be heard, please limit your comments to three (3) minutes per person and not more than ten (10) minutes per subject. The Brown Act regulations do not allow action to be taken on audience comments. 6. APPEAL PROCESS All determinations of the Planning Commission regarding major discretionary planning permits are final unless a written appeal, stating the reasons for the appeal, is filed with the City Clerk within ten (10) days of the date the decision was made. An interested party may appeal only if he or she appeared and stated his or her position during the hearing on the decision from which the appeal is taken. For items on this agenda, an appeal must be received by the City Clerk no later than Monday 7une 20, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. 7. SITE VISIT VERIFICATION 8. VERIFICATION OF NOTICE 9. PRESENTATION A. Presentation by BEANS (Better Eating, Activity, and Nutrition for Students). A presentation by local teen peer educators identifying access and barriers to health and nutrition in our community. NEW BUSINESS— PUBLIC HEARING A. Doggy Daycare Use Permit: 11- 04-UP-PC. Conduct a public hearing for a request for Planning Commission approval for a Major Use Permit for a Doggy Daycare at 884 South State Street, APN 003-072-03. 11. NEW BUSINESS A.
