1. CALL TO ORDER
The Traffic Engineering Committee meeting was called to order by Member Seanor at 3:04 p.m.
in Conference Room No. 3, Ukiah Civic Center, 300 Seminary Avenue, Ukiah, California.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — October 15, 2013 Special Meeting
MIS: Lampi/Whitaker to approve October 15, 2013 minutes, as amended. Motion carried by an
all AYE voice vote of the members present.
3. AUDIENCE COMMENTS ON NON- AGENDA ITEMS
4. OLD BUSINESS
4a. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Advanced Crosswalk Yield Lines at the intersection of
South State Street and Luce Avenue (Report Attached)
Member Kageyama introduced the item. It was previously discussed at the August 20th Meeting.
At Freitas, there is no ADA ramp on the west side of State Street so staff recommends installation
at the intersection of Luce Avenue and South State Street.
Member Whitaker commented that a tree would have to be removed to make room for the sign.
The height at the bottom of the sign must be 7 feet minimum.
MIS: Taylor / Lampi to approve the request to install advanced crosswalk yield lines and signs at
the South State Street and Luce Avenue. Motion carried by an all AYE voice vote of the members
present
5. NEW BUSINESS
None
6. COMMITTEE MEMBER REPORTS
Member Seanor informed the committee the Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan is being
updated with funding from MCOG. The Plan will be provided to the Traffic Engineering Committee
at a future meeting.
