AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF UKIAH, CALFORNIA
The City Council of City of Ukiah does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE
Pursuant to the procedures set forth in Section 9009 of the Ukiah Municipal Code, the
Official Zoning Map for the City of Ukiah is amended to change the zoning on a 1.04-acre
property at 506-510 Low Gap Road (Assessor Parcel Number 001-430-35) in the City of Ukiah
from R-3 (High Density Residential) Zoning District to the R-1 P-D (Low Density Residential-
Planned Development) Combining Zoning District.
SECTION TWO
This rezoning action and amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Ukiah is
necessary to establish more flexible development standards for lot size, lot width, and yard areas
for the development of a creative planned development with twelve individually-owned homes.
SECTION THREE
The City of Ukiah conducted an Initial Study to ascertain if the proposed General Plan
Amendment would have significant adverse impacts on the environment and concluded that the
proposed General Plan Amendment project would not have a significant adverse effect on the
environment and is recommending the adoption of a Negative Declaration for the
Shimizu/Housing Company General Plan Amendment project;
SECTION FOUR
This ordinance will be published by law in a newspaper of general circulation published in
the City of Ukiah.
SECTION FIVE
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after adoption.
