HomeMy WebLinkAbout781 Defining Holidays within the meaning of traffic regulations4Z`Z ORDINANCE NO. 781 AIQ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UKIAH AMENDING SECTION 7008, ART- ICLE 4, DIVISION 8 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE DEFINING "HOLIDAYS" WITHIN THE MEANING OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS. The City Council of the City of Ukiah does hereby or- dain as follows: Section 7008 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ukiah is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 7008 - "Holidays" defined: Within the meaning of this chapter, "holidays" are January 1st; the third Plonday in February; the last Monday in May; July 4th; first Monday in September; September 9th known as Admission Day; the second Monday in October known as Columbus Day; November 11th known as Veteran's Day; the fourth Thursday in November known as Thanksgiving Day and December 25th. If any of the above holidays, other than the ones that traditionally fall on Monday, falls on Sunday the Monday following is a holiday. This ordinance shall be published as required by law in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ukiah. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after it9 adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of March, 1982, by the following roll call vote. AYES: Councilmembers Hickey, Feibusch, Snyder, Riley, Myers NOES : None ABSENT: None ~~. ~ Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
