ORDINANCE NO. 732
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF UKIAH AMENDING DIVISION 9,
CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY OF UKIAH ZONING
ORDINANCE
The City Council of the City of Ukiah does Ordain as follows:
Section 1. The following Sections Nos. 9158, 9167 are amended to
read as follows:
Section 9158 - Planned Development or PD District
d) Applicable development standards:
All development is subject to Use Permit. Application
submittal is the same as those of Article 14, Section
9200-9216 except that the use permit will be considered
by both the Planning Commission and the City Council.
All project particulars are determined through the
public hearing process by the Planning Commission
which makes recommendations to the City Council. The
City Council will conduct a noticed public hearing.
Such public hearing by the City Council shall be in the
same manner as public hearings are held pursuant to
Section 9245 and 9246. General Plan goals, policies,
action items and surrounding land use characteristics
provide the criteria for project evaluation.
Section 9167 - Site Development Permits
a) Required for the construction of any new structure.
1) No building permit shall be issued by the Building -
Official in any PD, R-2, R-3, C-N, C-1, C-2, M or O
Districts except upon the application and issuance
of a site development permit to the property owner
in accordance to the provisions of this article.
Section 2. Section 9301 is added as follows:
Section 9301 - "Parking Space" defined:
"Parking Space" means an individually accessible and
paved space on the building site at least 9' x 20' for
the parking of automobiles off the street, with access
to the street, except for retail sales commercial uses,
in which the parking space shall be a minimum of 10' x
20'.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published as required by law
in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ukiah.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after its
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of August, 1979 by the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmember Hickey, Myers, Simpson, Brannon, Mayor Snyder
