ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF UKIAH AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF DIVISION 8;
PARKING METER PERMITS
Section 1. Chapter 4 of Division 8 is amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 4 - PARKING METER PERMITS
ARTICLE 1 - GENERALLY
Section 7390 - Director of Finance authorized to approve
applications for parking meter permits:
The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to approve
applications for permits for the temporary occupancy of parking
spaces in lieu of the payment of parking meter fees and without
regard to parking time limitations.
Section 7391 - Permit issuance; rates:
Upon the approval of the application by the Director of
Finance, an annual parking meter permit sticker to be placed in
the lower right corner of the vehicle windshield shall be issued.
Fees shall be charged for the permits according to the
following fee schedule:
1st vehicle
$25.00
Next 5 vehicles of the same permittee $10.00 each
All vehicles over 6 of the same permittee $ 5.00 each
Section 7392 - Vehicles eligible for permits:
Only repair service, maintenance, and construction vehicles
are eligible to make application for parking permits. Those
vehicles and equipment necessary and incidental to building, con-
struction, and maintenance work and servicing of equipment and
appliances, which for reasons of convenience and necessity are
exempted from use of the parking meter.
Section 7393 - Permit time limit:
The permits shall be issued on an annual basis and shall

however; a transfer sticker shall be issued for the remainder of the
year for the transfer fee of Five ($5.00) Dollas. No refunds may
be given. Loss or destruction of the permit sticker will be
covered by issuance of a replacement sticker to the registered
permit holder for the time period at a cost of Five ($5.00) Dollars.
Section 7396 - Revocation of permit:
The Director of Finance may revoke permits for any of the
following reasons:
(a) Failure to pay renewal fee.
(b) Failure to place permit on eligible vehicle.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published as required by law
in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of
Ukiah.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after
its adoption.

roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Hickey, Myers, Simpson, Mayor Brannon
